Parish Administration

Facilities Committee
The committee oversees the condition and maintenance of the parish physical plant, Church, Social Hall, Parish Center and Roanoke House, so that parish goals and programs can be implemented.

Members meet monthly to: maintain a physical inventory of the space, furnishings and fixtures of the building and monitor the use of each and coordinate maintenance of facilities and operations of the parish. Other activities of the group include holding parish work parties, coordinating volunteer efforts for the care of the grounds and properties and performing light carpentry, cleaning, and painting.

Needs: Members of the committee; people willing to help with work parties, gardening, carpentry, painting.

Finance Council

The council provides consultation to the Pastor on stewardship of financial resources. The council’s tasks include long range financial planning with regard to funding operational and capital needs in the parish and developing a three year fiscal plan; developing and overseeing aparish budget process; providing financial analysis of current fiscal status reports and providing financial analysis of proposed goals, strategies and programs.

Needs: Members to serve for a three year term.

Parish Office Help
Volunteers assist the Pastoral Assistant for Administration in the following ways: answering phone and door, filing, helping with mailings, computer work and other office projects as needed.

Needs: Volunteers who are available on a regular basis or as-needed to help during office hours.

Pastoral Council
The Council provides consultation to the Pastor on pastoral concerns of the parish. The goals of the council are to form community as a sign and witness of unity for the larger parish community; to provide recommendations for parish priorities and direction through pastoral planning; to provide communication and understanding among parish organizations and between the parish, Archdiocese and the universal Church.

Needs: Members to serve for a three year term. New members are chosen through a process of discernment in June of each year.
