St. Patrick's Music Ministry
Laura Ash, Music Director

There are two ensembles providing music for the masses at St. Patrick's, one at 8:00 AM and one at 10:00 AM. Both choirs sing a mixture of contemporary songs and traditional hymnody. The main goal of these ensembles is to enable the assembly to pray through song.

Both groups rehearse together, from 7:30 - 9:00 PM, Tuesday evenings, in the church. The choirs are always seeking new members, both vocal and/or intrumental. If interested, please talk to either Laura Ash after mass, call her at (425) 347-6727, or try emailing LauraDavidAsh@aol.com.

Original Liturgical Hymns and Psalms

Liturgical hymns and psalms written by David and Laura Ash are now available on two album recordings. Visit their web site

St. Patrick's Mass - There are several songs based on the Lorica or "Breastplate" prayer attributed to St. Patrick. The mass contains a Kyrie in three languages, a singable set of Eucharistic acclamations with common melodies, an Our Father, and a popular, dynamic Credo with a simple "I believe" mantra for the assembly.

First Fruits - includes 12 psalms and hymns. It was recorded and published in 1993 and features the combined talents of members of the 10:00 AM Sunday Choir of St Patrick's Church and the 5:00 PM Saturday Choir of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

In the Manner of the Chapel - appeared in 1996 and contains 14 songs, psalms, and acclamations designed to be used a cappella.

To order copies of either of these two recordings, or sheet music for any of the songs, visit www.sing2god.com, or call Laura and David Ash at (425) 347-6727, or write to them at P.O. Box 1364, Mukilteo, WA 98275-1364.
