Adult Faith Formation
We offer a variety of educational
and spiritually enriching opportunities for adults through the year.
Whether its a lecture series, seasonal prayer services, or
a presentation on a current issue, the goal of the program is to
"nourish and empower our members in their calling and identity
as people of faith, as contributors to the life and work of the
Church and as disciples whose mission is to the world."
Men's
retreat at Camp Brotherhood where Fr. Treacy, who led St Pat's in
the 60's, described how he and Rabbi Levine started an inter-faith
program.
An annual mens retreat and womens
retreat are offered each year in late winter or spring. They are
held at a retreat center in the greater Seattle area and are led
by local retreat directors.
Two womens spirituality groups meet regularly
for spiritual sustenance and companionship. Each group selects a
book with a spiritual theme to use as a guide for reflection and
faith-sharing.
A committee of 8-10 parishioners make up the Adult
Formation planning team. The committee meets monthly to plan and
implement the events and activities. New members are always welcome.
Family Ministry
This ministry is in the process of formation.
Our hope is to provide a monthly, if not seasonal opportunity for
families to gather for fun, spiritual enrichment or service. In
addition, through the childrens faith formation program, resources
will be provided through the year that will aid parents in sharing
their faith with their children.
The next family night is Sat. May 3, 5-8 pm in
the Social Hall. We'll begin with a potluck and follow up with BINGO!
Families of all ages invited. For planning, please RSVP to JoAn
at the Parish Office.
If you or someone you know is seeking to grow
in faith through the Catholic tradition, please contact JoAn Choi at the Parish Center, 206-329-2960.

Returning Catholics
Have you or someone you know been away from the
Church? We welcome Catholics who, for whatever reason, feel hurt,
are inactive and wonder what is possible. We would like to listen
to your stories.
Many of us for whatever reason, have felt hurt,
been inactive and wondered what was possible. We would like to share

Rite of Christian Initiation
RCIA is the process by which new members are brought
into the Catholic Church. It is a restoration of the ancient practice
of initiation, which initiates candidates into the values of the
Christian way of life. Focused on conversion, RCIA is one rite divided
into various periods that respect the individuals journey
of faith. The community ritually celebrates the conversion at various
points on the journey, culminating with the celebration of baptism,
confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil, or the rite of reception
for those already baptized.
We have on-going inquiry sessions for anyone interested
in learning more about the Catholic Faith or in beginning the initiation
process. For those already baptized in another faith, we adapt the
process to their needs, while recognizing and honoring their baptism
in Christ.
